Change of Visa status?

Hi guys hope you can give me a few pointers on this.

I'm currently here on a tourist visa and that expires in August.
As my job search appears to be going nowhere I have the option of going to HK space to do a business studies course starting in September, The course will only take 4 months.

Whats my best course of action to get some sort of extension on my visa?

Skip the country again and get another 6 months?

Go to immigration and ask if I can get some sort of Student visa to enable me to study at HKU in September?

I know I will need to speak to immigration to get a definative answer on this but I was just thinking of what my options are?

Steve's way is the easiest way...however I would suggest the Student visa for the simple reason that you would like a job...which means that you are elligable to apply for jobs at the uni which are only set aside for students to take. Now, I know some long term students in Hong Kong who work in departments of their uni. Thye are studying a class or tow to maintain student status while making a very good living working at the uni too!

Best of Luck Jimbo!
