Cool Looking for a German Tutor

My friend and I are college students from the states and are staying in Hong Kong for this summer (until september). We are hoping to find a private German tutor who can teach us the language from scratch. Please email me at eleen@jhu.edu if you are interested and please tell me to price per hour. Thank you!

Just out of curiousity:

Why would students from the US studying in HKG like to learn German?

I wish you good luck then. Austrian German is "little bit" different than standard German. They are speaking a dialect. Depending on how far you travel into the country side the dialect can become really intense.

Two of my Chinese relatives did take a German course, shouldn't be too expensive. I'll try to find out if their German teacher also does private lessons and get back to you. I think he's not bad, because after a month or so those two were able to have some German smalltalk and the pronounciation was o.k., too.

My fiancee is from Germany and she wants to learn Manadarin and or Cantonesa. She is native German speaker and is able to learn you the basics. She has also German friends living in HK so you can practise with them.

Please drop me a line when interested.

Hi H,
Thank you for the information! Could you please ask your fiance to email me at eleen@jhu.edu with her time/location/$$ of the tutoring? Thanks.

Eleen
