What kinds of chinese herbal tea does yr friend want? There're common ones such as chrysanthemum and self-heal spikes tea for everyday consumption available at the supermarket, dried herbs in chinese drug stores and the presciption formulas you get from a chinese medical practitioner. In the supermarket you can get the crystal sachet packets and ready- to- drink bottles.

Thanks for the reply.

Actually, I don't want to buy either chrysanthemum or jasmine tea.

Are there any specific name or brand for these self-heal herbal spikes in Wellcome or ParkNShop?

Tks for your time and help...

Personally, I like this one 鴻福堂 Hung Fuk Tong, there's also other brands which are OK. Check if they're on promotion, you can save $10 per bottle if it's a special price. But I'm afraid they may be heavy for yr guests to take back home.

The Chinese herbal tea come in diff forms: dried herbs in packets (need to be boiled with brown sugar pieces) found in chinese drug stores, crystal forms in sachets available in supermarkets, ready-to-drink liquid in bottles. I suggest buying the crystlsl in sachets since you can get a drink by stirring them in hot water. The dried herbal tea is not difficult to make, boil it for 30 mins with sugar pieces and you'll get one to two big bottles.

This kind of herbal tea doesn't come in tea bags as western tea, since you need lots of herbs to brew a cup. Jasmine tea is not herbal tea. The most common known ones are self-heal spikes, five flowers tea, chrysanthemum and honeysuckle tea etc.
