Yes they are live.

Can get pretty packed but the atmosphere is pretty good and they do provide you with chairs. You need to get there about an hour or so before kick off to be able to get a decent seat.

I havent been to those mall for watching World Cup Live yet, but surely the atomsphere there will be great as i have seen on some news clips on TV. However there's a chance that you have to stand for 2 hours during the match if the venue is packed and no where to sit!

ANOTHER MALL SHOWING LIVE WORLD CUP ACTION...
WORLD TRADE CENTRE, Causeway Bay next to Excelsior Hotel

Outside Times Square in Causeway Bay, there is a huge screen that televises the games. Gets pretty crowded for the popular games and you'll likely have to stand or sit on the pavement.

FYI Times Square will only show the match kick off @9pm, and I am not sure if they will show the match starting 10pm as double header start on coming Tuesday.......

I did watch once and there are over 300 peoples on the street!

Finally i have a chance to experience watching World Cup Live in a Mall.
Last night around 11:30 pm I went to World Trade Centre and the area for watching World Cup was located at P1 Foyer right outside Starbucks.
Very simple layout with 2 LCD TV and around 60 seats avaliable. By the time the match kick off, the seats is almost all occupied and the security people did go to get more chairs for some people that was standing.
The atomsphere is so so (probably because its weekdays). As it was already midnite all shops was closed and no special stall open there, you may BYO your own drinks and snacks, even Beer as long as you don't distract others!!
