Hi!
Can anyone tell me a bit about Sha tin as a place to live? I am a twenty something teacher and would like to live somewhere not completely quiet but not too noisy. Are there bars etc things to do in the evenings? How far is it on the train to Kowloon? Are there any places within Sha tin that are particularly nice to live? I am looking for a two bed flat for about 14OOO.

Hi there.

I've worked in and around Sha Tin, but have not lived there. A teacher I worked with, who has lived and worked in Sha Tin for some time, mentioned he was going to move back to HK Island for more action. In a nutshell, it seems a little dead, though the rent is cheaper than many places. Jordan, Prince Edward area may be an option????

Some one else may have another opinion on the area.

You should get a flat for that amount and about 20-30 mins from Tsim Sha Tsui East on KCR.
