Urgently need short lease 2br flat on Island

I urgently need a 2 bedroom flat on the island, but for short lease. All the Property Agents in HK will not accept anything less than 1 year lease, I however cannot committ to more than 6 months. Serviced apartments are the only other option, but I have not found any 2 bedroom serviced apartments that are in a good location.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or even know of a particular property that is available right now? I need to move in as soon as possible, my budget is around 10k. I also need basic furniture and electrical appliances.

There should be the lease for less than one year from the property agents. You should force them to find out to you. But the rental price would be much higher. Anyway, I think the best case is to live in the Serviced Apartment or hotel with long-staying.

Hi

We managed to get a 6 month lease when we first arrived in HK last year. The first place we looked was the ads where it's the landlord renting the place directly rather than through an agent. We also told agents we were interested in apartments and would they ask the landlord whether they would sign a 6 month lease. Most of the time they at least asked - and often the landlord was agreeable.

In the end we took a place advertised by the landlord who rented it to us without an agent being involved. We didn't have as much room to negotiate on the monthly rental but it saved on agent's comission!

Definitely push the agents harder on asking the landlord's whether they'll rent for 6 months.

Good luck!

My parents got a flat just freshly painted in Sheung Wan(next to Central). It is a small apt around 500 sf with 2 bedrooms but no furniture.
I can ask them whether they are willing to take a one year lease with 6 month's break clause if you are interested. Rental is $8,500 per month.
Let me know.
