Hey everyone, I've been living in Hong Kong for the past 7 months now, and will be moving to and from here and the US for the next year..I've been thinking of getting something done, and I heard that Shenzhen has extremely low prices on surgery compared to here in Hong Kong or the US. Has anyone gone to see a doctor? Ive been trying to do some work and find info, but there aren't any doctors listed that I can find. Ive also found many articles of chinese students getting work done for fun and because its so cheap, but by beauticians and non-certified surgeons.. help! Im looking for something cheap and safe!

I propose you to take a trip to Seoul to get it done. It is not worth it to risk your life in Shenzen.

Or go to thailand. It may be more expensive than SZ. But the surgeons are experienced and held to high standards. I am thinking about it myself.

Girl, if it's like major surgery that you are planning on please do not go for the cheapest... because you do get what you pay for. Why not save up and get it done in L.A. (where I believe they have perfected plastic surgery.) Do not get it done in Thailand or Shenzen, I have friends that got some work done and it was just horrible...you also do not have the right to sue and you will be charged to redo the surgery if you are unsatisfied with it.
Now if it's not plastic surgery, like Botox or Restyln then yeah I agree on opting for the cheaper. I know a plastic surgeon in Kowloon that charges $1500 per an area for Botox.

I have no personal experience with Bumrungrad but it has been classed as one of the finest hospitals in the region for a number of years. They have received numerous accolades both in the medical field and Western press. Their surgeons in their units are overseas trained and educated and prices are reasonable compared to Western prices. The majority of their patients make the trip to Thailand to have procedures performed. I'm thinkin if LASIK and they're high on my list of options. I'd stay well clear of SZ.

Just be careful for the hidden/extrta charges: extra stay, extra medicines, follow ups... all these are costs you need to quantify for your own good.
