Renting - what is realistic Hello, Potentially moving to Hong Kong. Ideally I would like a newish apt to rent (not sure about furnished or unfurnished). Close to work (Gloucester Road) and not sure about apt sizes (one or two bedroom). What are rents like? Any suggestions of furnished over unfurnished? Any advice much appreciated!

Within a 20 minute commute of Gloucester Road you could get anything from HK$5000 to HK$150000 per month. Unfurnished (or just with kitchen appliances) is much more common than furnished, although there will sometimes be random bits of furniture left lying in an apartment by previous tenants. The standard advice is to arrange a Serviced Apartment for 2-4 weeks when you first arrive so you get a feel of what's available in each district. Serviced apartments run from $12000 upwards. See the various threads below ----vvv----

Gloucester Road is fairly long ... Figure out which district and take a look at your options on gohome.com.hk
