I live on Park Island. There's a beach here. But I haven't been there myself. I normally go to the pool if I want to swim. |

More about TC Hi FunkoPlan, There are a few developments around Tung Chung you might want to consider - e.g. Tung Chung Crescent right by the station, then the ones overlooking the water - Seaview Crescent, Coastal Skyline and Carribean Coast. Carribean Coast is usually accessed by the shuttle bus as it's a little further than the others to the MTR. Tung Chung Crescent - takes about 2 mins (as mentioned, right by the station), SC and CS are about 8-10 mins walk to the MTR (through the shopping plaza). Flat rentals - about 6-8k if you're going for 2 bed flat of about 700 ft. A 3 bd flat (say 1000-1200 ft) typically go from about 9k to 12k. Of course you can pay more or less depending on the finish, and much more if you're going for a larger duplex! Commute is just under 30 minutes to Hong Kong station (next to Central). You can check out times of commutes on MTR at their website: http://www.mtr.com.hk/eng/homepage/e_customer_index.php. There is a bus station right next to the MTR station as well. Facilities wise, all developments have their own club house, at very reasonably prices (e.g. about $10 per gym visit off peak, $20 peak, swim slightly more). The gyms aren't particularly swish, but have pretty much all the bits an amateur gym-goer might need. The pools are a pretty decent size. Most have tennis courts/squash courts/badminton courts. Differences... well CC and CS are probably the better clubhouses; CC has a bigger leisure pool, CS has a bowling alley... There's a cinema in the outlet complex. Restaurants are ok (e.g. Thai, Vietnamese, three different Chinese ones in Citygate and cheaper eats such as Japanese, Cafe de Coral(!), Delifrance, Spaghetti house... and fast food outlets) and there's supposed to be a food court opening later in the summer. See http://www.citygateoutlets.com.hk/index.html for more info. However, bars aren't so great - there is the Aviator, a small bar by the cinema, and the Novotel Bar, and that's about it (so make sure you budget for the occasional late night cab back from a night on the town!) Hope that helps.

I'm paying HKD 8400, 700 square feet, fully furnish 2 bedroom. For 2 bedroom, the price range should be around 7000 to 9000 depending on layouts and views. It takes 30 mins to Central by ferry.

Sunita's comment sounds about right. The estate management guys deal with day-to-day management of the developments rather than with leasing out of individual apartments. I suggest that if you are interested in having a look around, to try and arrange a couple of viewings in each of the blocks one evening or weekend through one of the estate agents, to get a better feel for what is on offer. There are the usual suspects such as Midland Realty etc, you can find them near the MTR station, or if you wander through the outlet mall over to the CS/SC developments, there are couple of agents situated right between them.

Thanks for the info guys!!! First,I want to surf through the property related sites, such as gohome, hongkonghomes and then to make a decision on the spot. By the way, how much is the agent charge - one month or half month rental?
