URL box empty in Firefox

The URL box in Firefox (1.5.0.3) has started to show nothing recently. Tried re-installing but no difference. Have rebooted and opened new tabs (not relying on previous sessions) but no good. Even stranger, opening up a new tab/window and typing a new URL followed by Enter does absolute nothing like it's ignoring what I've typed! Any ideas anyone?

I've had a non-responsive address bar in Firefox on the Mini but once i quit firefox and restart it's going again. It usually only happens after a period of inactivity. The other mac's don't suffer from it though, sorry. New version?
Maybe try installing an older version and upgrading instead of doing a new install.

I do have gmail space - must be a recent update. Will try when I get back to the office ting yat. Not keen on removing and installing and losing all my cookies and passwords.

Good result! Was it the Google box at the top right?

It was the Gmail Space extension.
