Decent budget hotels in New York???

Hey,

I'm taking a trip to New York in September, and was wondering if anyone knew any websites, (I've already tried www.2100travel.com, www.aerohkg.com, and www.zuji.com) or hotels that I could check out. I don't want to be too far out of the action... just looking for something decent and cheap!

Any ideas?!

Thanks!

Dizzy -

Are you willing to commute from NJ? Are you planning on renting a car?

Can you tell me your intent for the trip (business/museum tours / night scene / broadway shows/ etc) and I will propose few options.

Try hotwire.com . I used to get good deals on US hotel rooms with it all the time.

Try the Hudson, its on west 58th...I think. around 8th avenue...tiny rooms and a bit anoying if you want service, but they do have low cost rooms. Also the hotel QT..its close to timesquare. Very trendy, you buy your mini bar in the lobby..also a splash pool in the loby, rooms are small and compact, some have bunk bed, but very stylish.

Try Club Quarters near Ground Zero.
