So how did everyone end up working in Asia? I'm really curious.

Was it something you planned (like you've always wanted to get posted in Asia)? or was it more of a surprise?

I'll start off.

After graduating, I decided that I would love to get in touch with my roots (my family moved to Vancouver when I was 3 so I don't really feel "authentic" Chinese) so I flew to Hong Kong and financed my travelling around Asia with full-time work (man!! Thailand is the bomb!)

After 2 years in Asia, I decided to come back to Vancouver and really start laying the foundation down on my career but I really loved my stay in HK. I learned to become independent, learned how to read newspapers in Chinese, how to survive in another country on a LOW-paying wage (haha )

Man, I wish I found this forum earlier. Could've had so much fun drinking and clubbing with you guys!!
