In june I will start my practical training in Hong Kong. Is there a dresscode? Because in Germany we can wear jeans and tshirts.

ever heard of this saying "when in Rome, do what the Romans do"?

to cut a long story short, yes there is. follow the general etiquette and you'll b fine. Wear a suit to work, or if it gets too hot then junk either the jacket or the tie.

Depends on who you're working for.

American companies tend to be more informal, specially with technical jobs.. as an example.

Ask your hiring manager what sort of dress code they expect you to follow.

If the answer has "Armani" in it .. ask for a dress allowance.

Just observe the workplace, dress conservatively (i.e. can't go wrong attire) during your first day and then observe. it's no rocket science.
