Avatars and Profile Pictures are very strange

Hi

I'm very confused with Avatars and Profile Pictures, because in every Forum i've been you can choose your personal photo as an avatar.

The main advantage, you can match the persons much easier, if they use personal photos etc.
Don't get me wrong it's not really difficult to get into the whole profile, however nobody do it all the time, because it's time wasting.

What do you think about this fact?

yea thats a bit strange n difficult to associate faces and names. but somehow i think theres a reason behind. some people just like to keep it mysterious and low profile or that it avoids people having bias for seeing the pic as human being, we are all attracted to some beautiful faces haha but i think all the people on geoexpat are very friendly and nice, so they wont be the shallow ones haha
but well, here people can still upload their pic on geoexpat. i did that too before but after i found that most people dun do, so i deleted it haha
its actually more fun n surprising when u talk to someone for awhile then really meet up n see his/her face.

I know what you mean, but it's quit anoying to look in the profile to catch a picture and a first view of the person....

Anyway you can fake it and keep an attractive look
