Japanese people?

Two questions:

1) Are there alot of Japanese people in HK?
I've only met two in HK but I almost exclusively stay in the NT areas. When I was in Japan I noticed that there were suprisingly a large number of HK ppl living in Tokyo!

2) Which area or areas are known for larger numbers of Japanese?
I know there are areas that different ethnic groups tend to live/work in every country and undoubtedly it is the same here as well.

Q1: According to the Japan Consulate of HK, there are about 25.6K Japanese people living in HK as of October 2004. But I don't think that there are a lot of Hk people living in Japan. Most of them are for study.

Q2: Most of the Japanese like to live in Taikooshing. If you like to meet Japanese, you can go to the Hong Kong Japanese Club.

I used to work in Hung Hom and there is a big Japanese community around there - particularly in Whampoa Gardens - or 'The Wonderful Worlds of Whampoa' as it promotes itself.
