The Ice House

Has anyone stayed at the Ice House? I can't tell from their website what their service apartments are like. Is it nice? Is it clean?

I haven't lived there, but I have spent a few nights in someone else's apartment there

What I saw of the place was basically very clean. The room I stayed in was pretty small - a studio with a large shower-room (big overhead rain shower head) which was separated from the living/sleeping area by a glass wall. There was a small kitchenette in the corner which would be fine if you basically eat out most nights, but not adequate if you like to put big meals together. Essentially it was fine as a place for one person to stay for a few months if you just basically want a "hotel room plus".

I actually took a tour two weeks ago. Not sure if i'm going to stay there still as the price was a little steep for the size.

The rooms are all tiny, none bigger then 350' i think. All of the rooms have a nice view of the church across the street. The glass wall in the shower was a little surprising, but the bathroom was quite adequate. The 'kitchen' was nothing more than 2 cabinets, a small sink, and a hotplate. Utensils and cookware are provided. The rooms are cleaned daily (if i remember correctly) outside of any holidays and linens (provided) are changed once a week. The hallways outside of the apartments were very dark, but trendy (a challenge after a long night in LNF i bet!). Just outside the hotel are several restaurants which I was unable to try as I was strained for time.
Essentially it is a hotel. Ideal for a short-term stay, i'd look elsewhere if you're seeking more permanent living.

Thanks for the info. I'm only staying there temporarily so as long as it's clean and adequate, that should be fine.
