I totally agree with Dean on this. To deliberately go onto a thread clearly aimed at Christians and start attacking Christianity displays either rudeness, arrogance, insecurity or some combination of these. If Christians went onto a thread about heavy drinking for example and started spouting on about the people involved's morals it would not be taken to kindly.

If it was a thread about how Christians are better than atheists it would be a clear invitation for debate and abuse but not when someone is just asking about a church to go to.

If you have a personal hang up about Christianity then fine its your life (or afterlife) but I would suggest that as polite civilised people you don't need to actively seek out confrontation, particularly when comments made display knowledge but almost no understanding.
