Attention Rock Climbers (and other sports enthusiasts)! Hi guys: Let's climb (or start doing other sports activities)!! I read the discussion on a previous thread. Have we set a firm date for our first meeting yet? I would propose sometime this weekend or next week. meeting at an indoor wall somewhere. Please post your interest and availability, so I can organize something. I had been climbing for 1.5 year or so, then took a break and now would like to resume to keep some basic fitness. I mostly climbed in California, both indoor and outdoor. I also enjoy climbing moutains, any mountaineers out there? Seems like quite a few people are looking for a group to do sports with. I am also an avid runner (track, road, trail etc), and am thinking about getting into mountain biking soon (no skills for now). Maybe we could have a social sports group in GeoExpat. So... Let's cut all the crap and actually get together doing fun stuff!!

Sounds good. Were planning on doing some lead climbing today at King's park but the rain ended those plans. There's so much cliff out there, let's get to it.

Sounds good guys - We're going for another attempt on Thursday at King's Park (TST) - it can't keep raining til then can it? (of course it can!) - Otherwise I'll find out about some indoor climbing - my climbing club does some indoor climbing, but not sure how to go about setting it up just yet. Anyway - try and come on Thursday and lets take it from there. Cheers Paddy

I started climbing a few months ago and I'm hoping to find frens to continue the sport with when I move to HK in Oct. Mind you, I'm not great and I can't lead climb, but I do enjoy it. Can someone kindly tell me where are the indoor climb gyms located in HK? How much does it cost? Hope to try the outdoor climbs in HK too, isn't there supposed to be loads of cliffs around HK? I'm going to Krabi next month to climb for a few days, woo hoo! I'm also an avid runner myself, but only outdoors cos I fear falling off the machine and I hate running around in ovals Mountain-biking - no skills here either but definitely interested! Sorry to be gushing like this, but I really hope to make friends in HK who like outdoor activities too! |

Adventureous Climbing Ameture I'd be keen to go mountaineering, although I might need a bit of training before i challenge anything too advanced. I am quite familiar with the basics... although no experience outdoors.. I wld. like to start training for something outdoors at an intermediate level ... If you're in a similar situation.... vandyk30@hotmail.com. Josh
