| training visa expiration question I just got the training visa that was issued on May 12th. It says that I am allowed to make a single journey to HK before or on Aug 12th, and it also indicates "training 3 months". Does that mean I can only stay in HK from May 12th to Aug 12th, or does the 3 months duration start from the day I land in HK? Also, since it says "a single journey", can I make weekend trips to the mainland of China and return to HK on the same visa? On my original application, I applied for a 3 months stay from June 1st to August 31st. I plan to arrive in HK in early June and won't finish my internship until the end of August. |

| It means you can stay for up to 3 months from the date of first entry, and that that date of first entry must be before 12th August. (So if your trip got delayed you could, for example, come on 1st August and then stay until 31st October.) Yes you may exit and re-enter during those 3 months. The "single journey" thing is a bit of a misnomer. What they really mean is "one 3 month period". |
