| People may want records but they don't want druggies... No parades for cheaters getting caught on the contrary... On top of it, records are erased so if and when they take stuff, they have to be very very careful and it can't be taken all the time |

| really, who cares who takes what? I don't care how an athlete trains and what supplements he takes. it's up to him and his doctors. Result and athlete's health are the only two things that matter. Now, Fact: ALL professional athletes in virtually any sport "cheat". So, in case you are an advocate of a "clean" sport, you should either dislike all athletes or only those who happened to get caught. Last edited by ThinkDifferent; 04-07-2008 at 09:27 AM. |

All you can do is like everyone else...guess. I have competed at the national and international level and I can say that in my own experience, there are many people who have TRIED performance enhancing drugs but as far as I know few took it on a regular basis and many claimed they had never touched it. It's often the loser's and the ones that are caught's consolation to claim that all use drugs to excuse their own inadequacy to perform clean. In a few words: "if I can't be that good clean than why can the other guy" Let's take foure of the richest and most successful professional athletes ever: Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Wayne Gretzky and Michael Jordan. What drugs do you think they take? |

| Add in (from the sports I know), say, Kevin Pietersen, Sachin Tendulkar, Dan Carter, Bryan Habana. Are you suggesting that they are all on illegal drugs too? |

I claim that, for example, in powerlifting/weightlifting 100% of people who ever happened to get placed in top 3 in worlds championships are not drug free. If you think that Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretzky were clean then all I can say is LOL Last edited by ThinkDifferent; 04-07-2008 at 06:30 PM. |

| Well all you can do is claim because there are no proof... As I said, to say that 100% are doing it and not believing that it can be done without is a lack of human spirit and a poor self image because you can't imagine that if you can't do it then it can't be done. My experience is that many try, some do it as much as they can get away with and some never touch it out of principle, ethics, health etc... I would put a lot of money that Gretzky was clean, Jordan, not so sure, Woods, I'd bet on clean too and Federer also. Armstrong, I'd bet on not clean. And what is the opposite of clean? |
