Has anyone seen these being sold for cheap in Wanchai or 298 Computer Center?

Replaced the motherboard on a bad Dell computer and need a new replacement XP for it.

Just a regular OEM disk with a valid install code.

The dell authentication code does not work...

At least a few months ago, when I was looking, XP Home OEM was the first thing they'd offer in Wanchai CC if you asked for original English XP. Was with SP2 and readily available. Can't remember exact price but in the six hundreds I think. No idea if that counts as cheap.

Ok, might as well go down and check it out. $600 sounds a bit pricey for an OEM version... but might be able to get it for a little bit cheaper.

Dell has 2 yrs Maintenance (Labour + Parts) support plan for $450 for home series.. given your recent experience with Dell about failure exactly on 1 Yr + 1 week, Do you think its worth it??
