Professional Camera Supply Retailer

I am looking for a professional camera supply retailer that can supply me with a camera adapter ring for a professional video camera.

(Specifically, I need a 82mm to 72mm threaded metal step-down ring. This item retails for about USD10 to USD25 in the U.S. so it's not a "huge" purchase - but it's obviously not something that even a reasonably well-stocked consumer digi-camera shop will have)

I would be grateful if someone could recommend a shop I could try.

(oh and by the way - the sun is coming up over HK right now and the sunrise this monring is BEAUTIFUL!)

The professional camera shops that I know are along Stanley Street in Central; I know them for still cameras rather than video, but a step-down ring sounds like something you should be able to find there.

PDLM,

Many thanks for your advice. I will try there today.

Cheers.

You can also go to Tin Cheung Camera in TST. They're great for the hard to get photography stuff, including step up/down rings, and usually have stock so no need to order.

As an alternative go to the HK ebay sellers Digital Rev, UR Galaxy, digital ishop etc (usually advertised in the UK or US sites) and get their local HK addresses. They're bound to have step-down rings.

Wing Shing in Mong Kok might have it too. Or you could check out New Sankyo in TST as well.

Tin Cheung and Wing Shing are good but I prefer the Zhang place in the Kimberly Hotel lobby (TST). These guys are popular with all the news crews and their prices are the best.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did not make it to Central today (as previously planned) but will be both there and to TST tomorrow, so I will have a good chance to check out all the suggestions.

Thanks to all for taking the time to provide your guidance.

What sort of place is Zhang? Do they sell pro photog gear? Do they have decent stock levels? I've been looking for a Gitzo tripod and the only place with a decent selection on the shop floor to play with was Tin Cheung. Everywhere else you have to order.

Must sound ridiculous when I answer, but the times I visit HK I allways go to New Sankyo (mentioned above) I've bought pro-stuff (as a photographer)and always been happy (also afterwards when I realized what I had boughtThey have never cheated me, others do have.
Though the thing you need doesn't have to be purchased from a pro place
