NowTV/Netvigator problems Have started having problems with my NowTV (garbled picture and sound) and will need it fixed - quick question: i am using a router box so i can have wifi - do i need to unhook everything lest the NowTV person sees the non-NowTV/Netvigator box and either reports it or refuses to fix the NowTV problem?? he is coming tomorrow so need to know if i have to disconnect the router... thanks in advance.

No you don't. I have a wireless router on the end of my netvigator connection and that has never been a problem for the technicians when they visit. NOW does have a problem in that when you are more than about 1.56km from their exchange building you are really stretching the limits of the technology to deliver 6MB+ over a very thin piece of copper wire. Which means that the mid-levels (Robinson & Conduit Roads particularly) are liable to have problems - particularly in the smaller buildings where PCCW hasn't run optical fibre to the property.

Thanks POLM - the repair was completed and hopefully it will hold for a while.
