No - a partner you are not married to would not be able to get a Dependent's Visa in the first place.

I Have Just Applied For Cancellation Of The Restriction

My husband is British and holding a business visa.
Today, I just applied for cancellation of the restriction in my visa "not allowed to work", free of charge, and now I do not have restriction in my visa. Just go to the 5/f, Immigration tower, fill up the form and wait to the counter 14, after checking your documents with Immigration Officer, She will call you and ask you to wait and go to counter 28.

What documents do we need to take to the immigration office, to have the visa changed?

Cansellation of "not allowed to work"

What papers did you bring when you went to Immigration. Will passport and HK ID be sufficient?

Hi,

I was going for a investment visa... but now, is it enough if I have a dependant visa with authorization to work ?

Thanks,

May I just say....... *sigh*

Suddenly my job has gotten so much easier.

Glad to hear that spouses can work now - if they would just sort out the beaurocracy in the rest of Hong Kong...

Went to get my drivers license the other day but have a European passport and a British D Licence... apparently the HKDL Bureau doesn't recognise the european union. Was told I had to show my stamps of entry and exit to the UK to prove I lived there... but of course I didn't have any as it is a european passport...

Sorry for the deviation but feel better now that I have shared...
