| hi I am a student in london with a british and swiss passport. after I finish college in june I would like to go traveling and working for a while. I want to go to hong kong for 4 months because my uncle has a restaurant there. and he said I could work there if I get a visa. my question is, do I need a visa if I'm british? if yes , how do I get one? |

| Yes you will need a visa and your uncle would have to sponsor you for one. But the only problem is that restaraunt workers in HK are a dime to the dozen out here and theres probably next to no chance that you will get a work visa from immigration for this very reason. If you arrive and use your U.K passport then that gives you 6 months tourist visa but of course you're not allowed to work on a tourist visa. And if you did then your uncle risks a heavy fine and or imprisonment if you get caught. So don't do it! |
