Dell Customer Support

Ever since I bought a desktop from Dell last year I have been receiving a colour sales pamphlet in Chinese. I have rang their "hotline" several times and after fighting through their "choose your option but don't press until I've finished speaking" computerised switchboard I asked them to send an English version the next time. Well several Chinese editions later and so I ring again but this time I am given the answer "oh we don't have English versions".
Now I don't mind receiving the pamphlet but you would think that a company the size of Dell with its HQ in the US and a customer base who are mainly English speaking would have English pamphlets?

This is a bad week for Dell at the GeoCasa ... dealing with two newish ( < 2 year old) dell that have chosen to blow up in mysterious ways.

Thats it .. back to Sony imports for me...

KIA,
What models? Custom built or standard one from online?
We recently ordered custom built Dell 'Optiplex' at client site.. 2 out ot 12 died within a month.. Though havent heard of any serious problem in standard Home or Office series.. Wondering if the problem is more common in particular line of models....

Nivant -- one low end notebook had its display go out on us three months ago (14 months after we bought it). This week had two dell dimensions go out. One had the power supply burn out .. and another had a bad memory chip.

Standard online orders ....

6 months ago .. i'd have sworn by Dell.. given that one of my original Dell from about 7 years ago is still working really well with W2K on it.

Now... looks like they're turned into more of a "made in china" brand than Lenovo.

Ahhh. seems like things are deteriorating on all front.. We had one motherboard died and another with faulty SATA cable.. both brand new machines....

I guess that winds up all...

I'm on my brand new, US purchased Dell E1705...so far so good. I'm hoping this laptop holds up better than your desktops did guys...I'd be pretty upset if it died on me
