Pretty much as the above...welcome to Hong Kong!

You'll get the occasional metal act in some local shows I think, but I don't really think there's much of a Goth culture in general in HK.

but its quite strange...cause in GZ there were several local guys listening those kind of music....

pity...I'm passing a bad period of my life, and since its like this I'm playing guitar often like years before when I was involved full time in music. I just would like to exchange some opinion with guys which love this music...

Guys... I was wondering the same question when I arrived here... since, I havent seen a single indie rock or metal place ... so my best friend is now my MP3 reader with few Korn, foo fighters and limp bizkit left from my past
Hope someone can bring us "the light" on this matter.
Ps : my only pleasure is to try to learn drums in studio , if you aslo know a cool and cheap teacher...

Hello
Readied your last thread also, for me, i would say…steve vai is ok…but only listened to few albums such as g3 when I was young, am listening to punk….or I should category it as punk-pop?….likes blink182, asian kung-fun, greenday, new found glory, sum 41…..sadly, I could not find the place plays such kind of the music or yours music…..or simply just buy dvd, stay home and enjoy yourself……sorry but cheers

Know the feeling about the safe crap in LKF which can soon get pretty tiresome, but luckily there are crusaders for "the cause" in HK! Check this out: any place playing indie music?. Variety of original live music from local scene -not hearch much metal/goth there, but it can be loud, heavy, jangly, punkish, experimental - often very good. True to its name, the mood is Underground - original stuff - covers are a no-no! You may enjoy it. Next show's on Friday May 12.
