Leaving HK - Tax question

I will be leaving HK in June this year and was wondering what the tax treatment will be on my income in this tax year. Will I receive a full year's marriage and child allowance to offset 3 months income?? Per my calculation this will leave me with no tax liability for this fiscal year.

Many thanks

My understanding is yes, but if your employer "reasonably believes" that you will be leaving HK they are obliged to withhold your last pay packet until they have clearance from IRD that you have no outstanding taxliability.

The best course would be to email enquiry@ird.gov.hk and ask for their guidance on the procedure to be followed. They have always been most helpful in my experience.
