If if wasn't for these purebreds and there health problems then obviously the vets income will plummet, they're not going to get rich just by clipping toe nails and occasional vaccinations now are they?

The previous tenant of my apartment was a vet and only stayed here a year because he made enough money in that time to pay for a nice swanky new apartment in cash. And of course he didn't do it by just clipping toe nails now did he?

i'm sorry you're so delusioned.

it seems there is a big misconception re costs of running a clinic, and just how much vets make out of what you pay. having a few close friends as vets, i think i have a better idea than someone seeing things from an outsiders point of view. and i might add, it is not any congenital defect that keeps animals coming to the vet. it's the same as people - are all those people that keep doctors busy born with congenital defect? wake up!

i do agree there is a higher degree of congenital problems with inbred dogs (cf purebred, not the same), however, this is not the bread and butter of the vet industry.

maybe, in your collective wisdoms you could shed some light on what the marvellous maladies are that you speak of, so i can tell my friends to dedicate much more of their time to these money making procedures? pray tell me?

BTW, do you REALLY know how much these guys earn? not any more than anyother expat, i can assure you, and a far cry less than a lot of expats, i can tell you as a fact.

I am really curious, just what health problems you speak of?
