it depends on what you are looking for and what yr background is of course. some ppl go for losing weight and some for stress relieving measures.

I like the classes offered by Samrat (young and energetic), Samantha (for her passion in teaching), Reddy (for his knowledge and medidation classes/ he is PY's only guy who can teach you stomach churning!!), and Kamal (for his high spirit).

Prabir is sort of the academic under all teachers and Kapil is the guy who loves being famous and popular. Ashutosh is the quite guy and if having detailed questions, go for him.

Hi vonDutch,

Many thanks for your advice, very useful ! I think you have joined PY for a long time?

I had done a few classes of yoga in Physical before but I don't think it is good and a friend of mine recommended PY to me.

I am not looking for weight lossing BUT it would be good to slim up the tummy, heee! But the actual purpose to improve the flexibility and also to relieve stress.

Deva is the instructor for the therapy class I have done recently and Samantha is the other instructor and she is exactly what you have commented.

I will try different classes later and see.

It is really kind for you to share your experience with me : P

go to the classes of samrat and kapil. both teachers are sort of focussed on 'popular' yoga, which includes lots of stretching, tummy sliming, flexibility, semi-aerobics....I think kryoga + warrior, power yoga and the sun series suits yr needs.....but try to find which teacher and class you fit in. everything is personal. find and explore!!

Yes sir! will try and explore!

What do you mean popular yoga by the way?

My body at the moment is not used to this yoga practice still.... feel lots of pain after lesson. I hope this is normal.

yoga that sells. PY does a lot of marketing. they look at what atttracts students and then market their classes from there on. Also, every week PY sees how the instructors perform by counting the enrollments for each instructor's class. Yep, it is business...

You have muscle pain? Ask your instructor, coz I dont think you should have pain after each class.

Yes, always see the sales doing the selling job there but I dunno they have such a strong marketing reseach for course but I can tell who is popular there though ; P

I think you are attending M and A level classes, you sound like an expert there

One more question? sorry! How many classes in average that ppl should take for a week? I know that depends on the physical condition and time....

2 lessons per week ok?

there is no such a standard on the average classes u should have to take. Yogis practice it every day for a long time, I believe.
I go anytime when having the opp. usually 3 till 4 times in a week. but yeah, u can start with 2 if you feel comfortable with that. you can practice at home as well.

Sunita - if you recently had a big operation I wouldn't advise Yoga right away. There is allot of streaching &/or power in Yoga (which works around the core or stomach) that might not be good for your injury. What I advise instead is walking. There is plenty of hiking in Hong Kong which is very good exercise, but won't stress your body. Then, once your body has healed a little more you can start gentle Yoga (beginner class).
