| Bring Indonesian helper to HK Hi, I am a Singaporean who will begin employment in HK in August. I am bringing my Indonesian domestic helper over but was told that her application would take 6-8 weeks to process and I can only start applying for her when my own work visa is approved. This means that I have to start work in HK and leave my maid here in S'pore until her visa is approved. In the mean time, there is no alternative child care for my two-year-old. I was thinking if I would get her to go with me on a Social Visit first (30 days for Indonesian) and renew it by exiting (probably to Shezhen) and re-entering and wait out another 30 days for the visa to get through. Any implications? What are the chances that her application for a visa will not go through? Any S'poreans who have a similar problem? |
