The 5th of May is actually Cinco de Mayo, Buddha's birthday is the eighth day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar, which this year falls on the same day as Mexico's version of St Patrick's Day.

For us here it is just another reason to dress in green [and red and white] and down some tequila.
