Olympic City is not the place to live if you want quality of life. If your going to be working and sleeping then its okay, not too far out of town, but there is nothing there apart from a huge bland development, token MTR shopping mall and a dying old community being pushed out by developers....
You should be able to get what you want for how much your willing to pay in the NT or Kowloon fairly easily - just start low! Best bet is to check into a serviced apartment for a few weeks and look when you get here...
