hi all... i just arrived hk and got myself a job as an interior architect in a high end design firm... they proposed to pay me an initial start of HK$13000 and HK$15000 after review... my office is at sheung wan area... and i am currently looking for a place to rent as well... i'm here by myself, but i think that i wouldn have much to save after deducting rental, travel, food...etc... is my pay resonable? pls give me some advise, as i have no idea how is the pay like in HK... due to my salary, i'm thinking of setting aside HK$5000 for rental, is that enough? i dont need a very big place... decent, with kitchen n bath... my work will start a week from now, and am thinking for requesting a package or higher salary from the company...
please advise...
