Well ask yourself why someone who has been in HK for 5, 10 or 20 years would need to visit a web site and talk about work visas, etc!! Issues such as these, and where do I find this, how do I get there are also not really their concern........

But......they can give good advice to the new people, as can the locals (of which long term expats kinda fall into that category as well!). A lot of the locals like to talk or write and practice their English skills. A lot have also travelled internationally or have lived elsewhere for many years. All of these sites benefit from the knowledge and contributions from people from all backgrounds so rather than question it just enjoy it!
