cosmokat will become famous soon enough
I brought my cat over from the States and I ended up using a transport service called WorldWide Pet Transport. I was very happy with their service and they pretty much took care of everything in the process other than bringing your pet to the vet for the necessary innoculations and health certificate.

For me using a transport service was a much better option since I didn't move my cat over until after I was settled in myself here. They arranged for pick up from her caretaker in the states, got her to the airport, onto her flight...and she was also picked up at the HK airport, cleared through customs and delivered straight to my home. I've heard that the requirements can be a pain, but if you have the time to arrange and deal with it, then you can save some money and can certainly get things done yourself.

I would recommend the service I used. Not sure if they have a website, cause they came as a recommendation. I'd be glad to provide a name and email if anyone is interested...just PM me.

Good Luck! And glad to hear you are bringing your pet over!!
