When I went to Beijing I took muesli bars cos I knew I would not want to eat any food outside the hotel as I am vegetarian. If you are an athlete and are used to a strict diet why upset your system by eating 'locally' also with the huge amts of MSG used and the possibility of eating dog....... And before any says this doesn't happen I have seen the dogs outside restaurants and was told the locals like this cos they know the meat is fresh!!!! |
Bravo, you've managed to cross that fine line between 'sensible' and 'hysteria'. It is completely understandable that world class athletes need to obsess about their diets, but I hardly think they're going to be casually wandering down to the local street market to accidentally ingest MSG-laden dog
