I'm sure it will die down soon after the anti-PRC protests disappear in the West.
And the government won't put up with it during the Olympics.
Seems to me that, over the past couple of years, the PRC government has sort of promoted anti-West/Japan/etc... protests, only to see them spiral out of control and then had to try to reel them in.
But, honestly, anyone who heads into/near crowds of angry people lacks common travel sense. And, given the news about Carrefour protests over the past week, going to one also requires a certain amount of bravery/cluelessness.
