on the visa issue, it's sad to see china fell the need to 'close itself' again (even temporarily)... after so many years of struggle to open up. This west-driven pro-tibet/anti-china rally has done more damage than good... For China, and chinese people in general, relationship and TRUST is extremely important. I'm sure expats working here understands this more than most people. In the west, relationships can be built overnight or over a beer, in China, it takes time to woo and nurture a new relationship - usually via trial and error. As China is starting to trust foreign investments / involvement / visits and begun to open up, how this stuff happens and you see signs that it's closing up again. It's a shame...
