lots of germans in db.
cannot hear the plans. i find sai kung noisier as it's on the flight path, but db isn't (usually).
commute time: 5 minutes to ferry, 25 minutes on ferry (i wouldn't count causeway bay as 10 minutes in a taxi if you are going peak times), i would walk 5-10 minutes to MTR and then MTR is about 5 minutes.

I'm guessing that hundreds of people in db commute this everyday without much problem. the ferry ride is very relaxing. you can eat your breakfast, read your paper, have a sleep, chat to friends, answer emails (has wireless connection).

cost is roughly $1200 for 50 trips. you may use more than that in a month if you are going to central for work and play.

great for kids, if you have them.
