port forwarding is router-specific. Generally, you can get the BT client (uTorrent, Azureus etc) to suggest a random port. At least that nominates a port in the correct range. Your ip address will always be the same if you use a router. Though the method of port forwarding will vary what you basically do is forward TCP and UDP protocols from ANY to your nominated port. Reply with your router make and model and I or someone else with little else to do will provide more assistance.
