| well, regarding your point #2, i prefer mabuhay miles by philippine airlines. if i forgot to book my flight for miles, all i have to do is log on online and give my date of flight and flight number. no hassle of faxing the boarding pass that i encountered with my asia miles.
also, i have this very annoying experience with cathay last year. i had my flight to manila confirmed a week earlier, and when i was checking in, they told me it isnt confirmed and they cant give me any seats. this was really infuriating. im not late, and was checking in like 2 hours before my flight. they transferred to another airlines going on at the same time that day so no big deal, and told me that my asia miles will be credited for that. but they DIDN'T at all! tried calling the hotline afterwards but i don't have any proof to show as my boarding pass is not a CX!
so the point is? all flight programmes has its pros and downsides. it depends on individuals case-to-case basis. |
