but what is said is true. you do not want to set a precedence over something that other staff will harp on in the future.

depending on whether there is a probation period. most people has an employment contract that states that medical leave taken during the probation period are not paid.

if yours is a very small company and she is generally hardworking, everyone gets along well, then just let her take a day off...
