Hello!

I am a 27 year old guy on my way to Hong Kong from Barcelona in pursuit of a job in urban planning. With all the urban growth in China and the mounting pollution problems in Hong Kong I would have expected much more work to be available than that which I am finding.

I have a degree in economics, pursued a masters degree in urban planning, speak a couple of languages but NO chinese. Regardless, I will be coming to Hong Kong in the end of december and would like to ask the group...

- does being there in person really help in finding jobs?
- have you heard of many organizations/companies making jobs for
desired employees?

Lastly, I know english is in high demand and I am wondering whether part time teaching opps exist for non certified but educated native speakers.
