| tsk, tsk...ur hubby shouldn't think like that!! if u r a true animal lover, shouldn't matter where it comes from. the shelters should some purebred dogs, i think mostly Shih Tzu and Pekinese. a couple of my friends had bought dogs/cats from pet shops and to have it die a few days later is heartbreaking.
my uncle took in a stray dog a few years ago and she's the most loyal dog i've ever seen. when he's not home, she would wait by the door until he comes home. i think they know they've been rescued so they're extra grateful & loyal.
ur 700sq.ft. flat should be ok providing both are around/under 15lbs. but should try to take them for walks on a daily basis - i know this is hard, esp. when 98% of the parks prohibit dogs. what i used to do was take my dog to some smaller side streets or dead end streets where she can run off leash for a bit. |
