Even the leather earpads? Atleast I would expect them to last longer.... than splitting at the seams and coming apart in 4 months of use!! BTW where can I find them in Mongkok??

Bungle will become famous soon enoughBungle will become famous soon enough
You can get really cheap ones ($10-$30) in Ap Liu Street, Sham Shui Po MTR Exit A.

If you want better quality, try the AV shops in the high rise building between Mong Kok Exit E (Bank Centre) and the body shop on the corner.

If you're looking for headphones, this is the place:

香港金聲耳筒專門店-世界名牌耳筒耳機直銷 Westone, UE, Etymotic, Jays, Shure, AKG, Sennheiser,Audio-Technica

Canal phones sound good, but because they don't allow airflow from the outside, they don't sound as natural as 'open' headphones. I like the Sony EX-90SL. They sound great, isolate well (but not too well) and sound very natural. They have larger drivers than most other phones on the market, and hence reproduce bass very easily. They are the only phones I use on the move nowadays.

Those Bose In-Ears sound terrible to me. I guess it's all about your personal preferences, but I found them to be incredibly bass-heavy and muddy. Etymotic and Ultimate Ears make some good canalphones, but you need to be careful. They isolate well, but you have to make sure you restrict yourself to a certain volume level (and no more). As you get used to a certain level, you tend to push the volume up over time, and this can cause permanent hearing damage. If there is a lot of variation in the volume of your music, you can get some nasty shocks with the in-ear style of headphones.

If you've been using them heavily, 4 months is not too bad. Do you sweat a lot/use your headphones when your hair is wet? That can speed the deterioration process along considerably.

Mengfei: Which ATs do you have? I've found most ATs are actually very well balanced, so I'm curious to know how you find 'em boomy If anything, the low end AKGs are incredibly boomy. I have some K412Ps (K24s) that make me feel like I'm sitting in a cheap subwoofer enclosure.

Mengfei: If you like your mids and highs, you have to get some Alessandros. I have some MS1s and they are the ONLY headphones I use at home.
