jogging in Sai Ying Pun area
am curious where people run in the Sai Ying Pun area. Anyone wants to share their routes? How about to the west of HKU? Any good routes in the Pokfulam area or Kennedy Town area?
Several people in my department would go once in a week up the hill behind HKU and and then run on the top. There is a loop about 3.5 KM and the view is fantastic! I won't get bored doing many laps there. The thing is it takes 30 mins going down and is too big a time commitment to do it often.
I sometimes go up along Littleton and then Kotewell and then Poshan road. It's kind of short though. A trail at the end leads up to the peak I guess. I followed it once but it started going uphill very steeply so I gave up.
Where do you folks living in the west side of Hong Kong Island run?
Thanks in advance for any contributions!

I normally go running up to Bonham Rd, on my nikeplus is says its around 3km just to get there. I also go running to Kennedy Town Pool and up and behind it back to Sai Ying Pun.
The run behind HKU up to the peak is great although a little steep
Dont know any other routes besides those, but intrested in hearing about some others.

I live in Kennedy Town and run from here to Cyberport along Victoria Road, which is about 5K (then get the bus back) or you can go from cyberport up to pokfulam road and run back down to KT or Sai Ying Poon for that matter for a longer run. Victoria Road is recommended for a reasonably hilly but not very crowded road.

Anyone know of a good place to run in Sai Ying Pun where I wouldn't be running on concrete? A track or a trail would be perfect. At 220 lbs, I get devastating shin splints.

I just recently discovered a trail in Sai Ying Pun area. It's flat, not long though. It has concrete pavement (sigh) but has dirt areas alongside the pavement in most sections. Find your way up Kotewell Road. Go past the junction with Robinson road, past the junction with University drive, you'll see a public rest room. Go down the stairs next to the rest room and turn left at the end.
Enjoy!
